Last updated: September 15, 2026
Welcome to Entablature.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Entablature website, platform, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). Entablature is a publishing platform for research and blogs.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the Service.
1. Description of Entablature
Entablature is an editorial publishing platform where users can discover and read published research and blogs.
Users may sign in with Google and, depending on their role and the features available to them, create, submit, edit, review, and publish content.
Entablature supports two primary types of published content:
- Research
- Blogs
Research is intended for more structured, research-focused publication and is subject to an editorial review process.
Blogs are lighter editorial content intended for accessible reading and publication. Blog content is subject to the applicable publishing requirements and limits of the Service, including a maximum length of 3,000 words.
Only content that has been accepted for publication and made public through the Service is publicly available.
2. Account and Authentication
Entablature uses Google OAuth for authentication.
You must use your own Google account when signing in to the Service and are responsible for maintaining the security of that account.
A newly authenticated user may be assigned the default Researcher role. Entablature may assign or change roles in accordance with its access-control policies.
The Service may provide different capabilities depending on your role.
Entablature currently supports the following roles:
- Public User
- Researcher
- Editor
- Admin
You may only access features and information that your role permits you to access.
3. Research and Blog Submissions
Entablature allows eligible users to create and submit content for publication.
Research submissions are subject to the editorial review workflow operated by Entablature.
Research may have the following statuses:
- Draft
- Pending Review
- Published
- Rejected
Researchers cannot directly change research to Published. Research must be approved through the applicable editorial process before it becomes publicly available.
If research is rejected, the Researcher may edit and resubmit it where resubmission is permitted.
Blogs are published separately from Research but remain subject to Entablature's publishing requirements and editorial standards.
Submitting any content does not guarantee publication.
4. User Content and Ownership
You retain ownership of the original content that you submit to Entablature.
By submitting content to the Service, you grant The Entablature the limited rights necessary to operate the Service, including the rights to:
- Receive and store your content.
- Process and display your content within the Service.
- Review your submitted content where applicable.
- Make approved content publicly available.
- Display your published content on Entablature.
- Technically reproduce, format, store, and deliver your content as necessary to operate the Service.
For published content, these rights continue for as long as the content remains published on The Entablature or as otherwise necessary for legitimate operational, legal, or archival purposes.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions for any content, images, documents, data, or other materials that you submit.
5. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for the content you submit to Entablature.
You must not submit content that:
- You do not have the right or permission to use or publish.
- Violates applicable laws or regulations.
- Infringes another person's intellectual property or other rights.
- Contains malicious code or material intended to compromise the Service.
- Attempts to impersonate another person or misrepresent authorship.
- Attempts to bypass the Service's authentication, authorization, or editorial controls.
You must provide accurate information associated with your account and content.
You must not attempt to access another user's private research, administrative functions, editorial functions, audit records, or other restricted information.
6. Editorial Review and Publication
Entablature maintains an editorial process for research submissions.
Editors may review submitted research and either approve or reject it.
An approval causes the research to become Published and publicly accessible through Entablature.
A rejection may include a reason provided by the Editor.
Editorial decisions may be recorded as part of The Entablature's review and audit systems.
Entablature may also establish or update editorial policies governing submission, review, resubmission, and publication.
7. Blogs
Entablature also publishes blogs.
Blogs are intended to provide lighter editorial content and are distinct from formal Research publications.
Blog content is subject to a maximum length of 3,000 words.
Entablature may determine whether a submitted blog meets its publishing requirements and may decline, edit, remove, or otherwise restrict content where permitted by these Terms and applicable policy.
The publication of a Blog does not mean that The Entablature independently verifies every statement, claim, source, or opinion contained within it.
8. Published Content
Once content is published, it may be publicly accessible through Entablature.
Published Research and Blogs may be displayed on public pages and may be discoverable through the Service's public search and other public discovery mechanisms.
Entablature may use publicly available metadata associated with published content to provide navigation, search, and publication functionality.
Private content, including unpublished research, is not intended to be publicly indexed.
9. Attachments and Graphs
Research may support PDF attachments and structured embedded graphs.
PDF attachments are subject to the technical requirements of the Service, including a maximum file size of 1 MB per file.
Graphs are stored as structured data rather than static images so that they can remain editable.
Entablature may validate, inspect, reject, remove, or restrict attachments or graph data that do not satisfy the Service's technical or security requirements.
